VERONIQUE MALKA, B.C.L., LL.B., is a Canadian attorney from Ontario, Canada, with a license of Foreign Legal Consultant from the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
Veronique attended McGill University's National Program from 1989 to 1993. She has a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B). Veronique worked as a research student at the Quebec Court of Appeal and completed a research internship with the Canadian Jewish Congress on the Supreme Court issue of prosecution of Nazi war criminals. She also worked as law student in a civil litigation firm in London, England.
Veronique completed her Articles of Clerkship and practiced law as a Barrister & Solicitor in Toronto until 2003. She litigated family law cases, and also handled a variety of immigration matters ranging from refugee claims to family-based sponsorship applications. Trained in International Law at the Canadian Human Rights Commission, she served for several years as Reconsideration Officer for the Ontario Human Rights Commission, in Toronto. She found herself merging her international law background to her experience in family law as of 1999, when she began to take on international cases of children abducted under the Hague Convention. She has appeared on television and radio throughout Canada and has written on a variety of global topics including mobility rights and international child abductions.
Veronique brings over a decade of Canadian legal experience to the New Jersey and New York area. She is singled out as a Canadian Immigration attorney able to advise clients who are located in the USA about their rights and options to move to Canada. Generally, the Canadian immigration lawyers are located in Canada, often unable to meet their clients in the USA. Clients appreciate being able to have their Canadian lawyer on their "home turf." Veronique manages the Canadian Division of Nachman & Associates, P.C. a U.S. based immigration firm, with offices in New York, New Jersey, Montreal and Toronto.
Veronique is a native of Montreal. She looks forward to helping anyone who is looking to relocate to Canada. She caters to individuals as well as to corporate structures, and speaks English, French and Spanish fluently.
